Michoacán
Michoacán is the soul of Mexico. Located in western Mexico, the state truly offers a colorful mix of cultural, historical, and natural attractions. Morelia, the capital of Michoacán and UNESCO World Heritage Site, was strongly influenced by the Spanish colonial masters and impresses with its magnificently preserved houses, churches and palaces. In the surroundings of Uruapan there are numerous natural treasures to discover, such as waterfalls national parks. Janitzio Island, in the middle of Lake Pátzcuaro, is known throughout Mexico for its Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) celebrations.
